Navy + Royal

Blue is one of my most loved colors. It looks good on everyone and best of all, various shades of blue from deep navy to the lightest blue all look great mixed and matched together.

This cobalt blue dress continues to be a favorite in my closet. I wore it yesterday and paired it with a navy blazer and added a pop of yellow with my Kendra Scott Rayne necklace.

A Perfect Gray Dress

My apologies for the mirror photos, but it has been absolutely crazy at work and I've been going in a little earlier and leaving a little later than usual because of a big local and national story I've been working on all week. I love being this busy, but I'm ready for a little downtime this weekend.

For $27.99, this dress is kind of a must-have. I paired it with a charcoal gray blazer and flats, since I had worn heels the previous day and was on my feet a lot.

I know the listing for this dress says "not sold in stores" but I got mine in store and several of my readers said they saw it too. So you can buy online, but you can try your local store too.

Enjoy your night!

Misty Mornings

If the weather forecast and temperature gauge in your car haven't convinced you that it's too hot outside, behold today's photos.

I had to deepen the contrast in them in iPhoto because as you can imagine, the entire lens fogged right up in the morning humidityand I didn't notice until after we took them. Sigh.

Getting dressed for the office in this weather is not fun, and yes, I plan to complain about it until the weather is at the very least in the low 80's.

Foggy photos aside, I must profess my love for these Banana Republic Adelia heels that I purchased last week. I just love they way they are cut and they're pretty comfortable. They may need a couple of weeks of breaking-in, but I would say they're a 7/10 on the comfort scale right out of the box.

I first spotted the heels in this online preview for the new Sloan skinny pants and I immediately noticed how flattering they looked. I happened to see them in store and they had my size, so I purchased the midnight blue ones.
They're definitely a must-have pump for fall! I got mine for 40% off during last week's promo, but they have promos almost every week so I would add them to your cart! It looks like sizes in midnight blue and black are going fast.

Have a happy week!

The Sloan Fit Pants

I've been a fan of Banana Republic's Sloan fit pants for quite some time now. I have a black pair as well as a deep forest green. When I saw these rugy stripe Sloan fit slim ankle pants in a mailer BR sent out, I knew I had to have them.

The thick stripes are so fun and the fit is really flattering. You can't really tell in these photos because the lighting sucks, and even with a filter to lighten them up, it doesn't show the stripes well---so I added a photo from BR's website so you could really see the stripes.
I paired the pants with a simple dress shirt and a beautiful sawrovski crystal necklace from Melissa at The Modern Siren.

I really miss sharing outfit photos. Sometimes I'll wear a cute outfit and I'll wish I had taken photos. I think we finally figured out a way to snap a few photos outside like we used to as I left for work. I'll have to test it out someday this week and see if the lighting outside is decent enough at that time.

I hope you have a great week!

Outfits...

I wore my new BR bow skirt this week and I think I'm in love. Unfortunately, I was playing on the floor with Harper when I got home from work and when I spread my legs a bit to stand up, the front slit split and now I have to get it fixed---but I absolutely love it and can't wait to wear it again when it's all sewn up (I'd do it myself but I'm not a good enough sewer to where I could make it so the thread doesn't show.

I love that this skirt can be worn with flats. As I mentioned before, I'm all about flats these days. I still wear heels, but I would say three out of five work days, I'm wearing flats. This week, I don't think I wore heels once.

This was my casual Friday outfit. No meetings today so I dressed down.

Wishing you all a great weekend!
