Pink + Stripes

I was delighted to learn that it would consistently be in the 80's this week so that means bare legs! I was so excited to slip into one of my beloved J.Crew No. 2 Pencil skirts, which I pretty much used to wear daily before I was pregnant. They're just so comfortable and easy to wear. Plus, they go with everything from dress shirts, to blouses, to sleeveless tops, etc. You can't go wrong!

One of my favorites is this navy and white striped style:
shirt- gap (similar, similar)  |  skirt- j.crew (LOVE this one, would it be wrong to get it?)  | shoes- nine west  |  necklaces ? The Modern Siren and Tiny Tags
What are you looking forward to wearing as the weather improves?

I also want to mention how much I enjoy Jergen's Natural Glow Firming self tanner (the new formulation in the medium/tan shade). It really gives color and made my normally pasty legs look great. My legs were blindingly white before I used it. This was after one application, left on overnight.  I highly recommend this self tanner if you're craving a little color but don't want to stain your sheets.

The Right Stripe

I've been looking for a white striped blazer for quite some time and never found the perfect oneuntil now. I missed out when Anthropologie had a similar style a couple of years ago (see it on Chloe, here) and since then had purchased a black blazer with white stripes from Express (that I later sold on Poshmark) and another cotton striped blazer from Target which I still own (but truthfully do not wear very often).

But neither of those filled the void in my closet for a beautiful white blazer with stripes. The moment I spotted this one at Zara when I shopped with Megan a couple of weeks ago, I knew I would purchase it before I even tried it on. It was perfect--- it has navy stripes and is made with beautiful fabric. Sold!

I liked it even more when I tried it on. A perfect cropped blazer for summer (and any season really) to pair with work attire.

Sorry for the color on these photos. It sucks.  I had to lighten them because I took them when it was still dark in the morning and our bedroom lighting sucks. I look two different colors in them. I promise in person I looknot the color in these pics. LOL.

I am also smitten with this lace trimmed shirt and may even purchase it in another color. It has lace detail on the sleeves as well, so it's perfect for tucking into skirts come summer when I break those out again.
Wishing you a great week!  Don't forget to follow me on Instagram for more updates!

The Sloan Fit Pants

I've been a fan of Banana Republic's Sloan fit pants for quite some time now. I have a black pair as well as a deep forest green. When I saw these rugy stripe Sloan fit slim ankle pants in a mailer BR sent out, I knew I had to have them.

The thick stripes are so fun and the fit is really flattering. You can't really tell in these photos because the lighting sucks, and even with a filter to lighten them up, it doesn't show the stripes well---so I added a photo from BR's website so you could really see the stripes.
I paired the pants with a simple dress shirt and a beautiful sawrovski crystal necklace from Melissa at The Modern Siren.

I really miss sharing outfit photos. Sometimes I'll wear a cute outfit and I'll wish I had taken photos. I think we finally figured out a way to snap a few photos outside like we used to as I left for work. I'll have to test it out someday this week and see if the lighting outside is decent enough at that time.

I hope you have a great week!
