The Right Stripe

I didn't wait too long to break out my black and white striped blazer that I purchased last weekend. I absolutely love switching it up from my typical solid colors.

I am craving some cooler weather so that I can start layering more. I oftentimes envy those who live in cooler climates, because as much as I LOVE the warm weather practically year-round here, I do sometimes find that it gets boring to always dress in warmer-weather clothing. Bring on the brrrrr, mother nature! I'm ready for jackets, scarves and cozy sweaters!

Blazer- Express (similar under $50)
Necklace- Banana Republic (in stores, similar)
Pants- Banana Republic (buy them here)
Shoes- Ivanka Trump (similar flats here)

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!   I have been busy in the evenings attending some events so next week should be back to normal.  Thank you to everyone who left lovely comments about our dining room and living room updates, I really appreciate your kind words!

Stripes & Lace

I absolutely adore my recent purchase of the rugby stripe boatneck tops from J.Crew.  Though someone told me they are dry clean only (I didn't notice when I got them) I can get a few wears out of them before I have to send them away for cleaning.

I love the way the bold, thick stripes look.  Today I paired the preppy top with lace and a studded belt. It's a preppy-meets-girly-meets-rockstar kind of look and I like it.

Top- J.Crew (buy it here, on sale!)
Skirt- Zara (similar, under $20)
Belt- J.Crew (similar at GAP)
Shoes- Nine West (buy them here)
Necklace- c/o Stella & Dot (similar)

I think stripes and lace may be my new favorite combo! Happy Friday everyone!

Stripe Addict

Sale alert! The J.Crew top I'm wearing in this photo is final sale plus 30% off!  Get yours here. I absolutely love stripes. They can really add fun dimension to an outfit and are totally office-appropriate.  This wider stripe is a fun change from my typical skinnier stripes.  When it comes to stripes, variety is key.  Otherwise, you just look like a weirdo with a stripe addiction.  At least when your striped tops have stripes of different widths, you're throwing people off a bit.

Top- J.Crew (buy it here, on sale!)
(please email Regina if you want a clover necklace, they are special order)
Bracelet- c/o Amour Couture
Shoes- Zara (similar)

PS- sorry the photo quality is off in this post, I am still learning to use iPhoto.
