Everyday Luxury with Sonia Kashuk

Based on this week's weather, it seems like Houston is on its way back to normal, which here means HOT! And this warm-weather loving gal couldn't be happier. After a dreary winter with completely bipolar weather, I'm ready for the warmth and pretty blooms that spring brings along --and so is my beauty routine!
To amp up my beauty routine and get glowing for springtime, I got to test out some new Sonia Kashuk beauty products (as well as a couple I've tried before). I'm a fan of Sonia's line for many reasons, the first being the quality of the products (well pigmented, great colors available, long lasting, etc.) and the second being that they are both affordable AND available at Target. I can pick up any products I need while taking a "mommy break" on a Saturday night to cruise the aisles of Target -- and that's the point, it's luxury for everybody that's easy to access and you won't feel guilty afterwards (like the time you bought a $34 mascara).

Now, let's get into each product. I'll start with my absolute favorite product I was sent (and quite possibly my most favorite Sonia Kashuk product of all time) the
Eye Couture Palette in Eye on Neutral Shimmer. If you are looking for an eyeshadow palette full of gorgeous neutrals that you can use to create both everyday and evening looks with, and that travels perfectly then look no further. This is it, ladies. Not only does this palette have my name written all over it with the gorgeous browns, grays and creams it features, but each color has just the perfect amount of shimmer in it (and it's definitely NOT glittery, which is a good thing). The first night I got it, I was so eager to test it out that I swiped one of the medium gray shades with my finger and applied it into the crease of my eyelid and blended -- and it actually looked good with literally zero effort. I wish I would have snapped a photo right then, but you'll just have to take my word for it. This gray shade (third row down, all the way to the right) is my absolute favorite in the palette and I also love the cream shade (first row, all the way to the left) to use in the inner corners of my eyes to make them pop. This is a great tip if you're looking tired or simply want to enhance and brighten your eye area. I highly recommend this perfect array of neutrals to anyone looking for such a palette.
Next up, let's talk about the Sonia Kashuk Tools Dense Blush/Powder Brush No. 24. Though it's a great blush brush, I have to travel down the path not taken here and urge you to step outside the box with this one. Smaller-headed dense brushes like this are perfect for achieving an airbrushed look -- and so it's lovely to use with liquid foundations/concealers, cream blushes and brightening products like for under the eyes. This is coming from a girl who uses a dense eyeshadow brush or foundation brush to apply concealer, so take it for what you will, but this blush brush is for more than just adding a glow to your cheeks, if you want it to be.
Then we have the Chic Luminosity Blush/Bronzer Duo in "Glimmer" which I've actually used before. It's nice to have a bronzer and blush combo, especially if you don't have a lot of time in the morning or if you travel a lot. I think you'll see from the video below just how pigmented this blush is -- I add some more as I'm demonstrating how to use it and it really makes your cheeks pop. Though the product looks very metallic, it gives off just a slight sheen/glow to the skin so don't worry about looking too done up in daylight.
Lastly, we have another favorite, the Pink Innocencia Eau de Toilette which I reviewed in this post. Of the scents in the line, this one is my favorite -- and you can check out my video for a little hair tip I give with this product.
So tell me -- how are you switching up your beauty routine for spring and what do you most look forward to? I'm excited to start wearing skirts and dresses more often and open-toed shoes. Leave a comment below and you'll be entered to win a $100 Target GiftCard!
